Southwest Christmas Equine Fair

Olympic eventing rider Mary King with Bahian Maggie

After last year's extreme weather which prevented us being at the 2010 event, we were once again able to present the Cleveland Bay breed to a large and enthusiastic public at the Westpoint Centre near Exeter on 3rd and 4th December.   Our display was part of the Breed Society Area located just inside the entrance to the Fair and very noticable to people buying their tickets.   This meant that we were on most people's agenda!   We were fortunate this year to have the superb Bahian Maggie representing the breed on both days.   The eighteen month old filly was bred by Sarah Pomfret of the Bahian Dreams Stud and is by Wyevale Brayden out of Cholderton Hebe.   Maggie was the perfect ambassador showing impeccable manners and enormous patience in the face of an endless procession of admiring visitors.   We were also very fortunate to have leading international and Olympic three day event rider, Mary King come to look at Maggie.   Mary headed up a list of celebrities who ensured that an enthusiastic public enjoyed a memorable visit to the Equine Fair.
