Readers of 'Metro' on Wednesday 21st September 2011 saw an unusual article. The national free newspaper carried an illustrated report of the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery exercising on Polzeath beach in Cornwall. Horses of the famous ceremonial unit were enjoying their annual camp with line horses and chargers being ridden across sands and through the surf. Notable among the horses was five year old Cleveland Bay Harlequin, presented to the Troop by HM The Queen last year. If you missed seeing the article by Hayden Smith with pictures from SWNS, you still have the opportunity via the 'e' edition of the Metro - click here for a quick link. The BBC also ran the story - click to see their live footage.
